Is The Lottery Your Thing?

March 7th, 2008

Personally I don’t bother doing the lottery. But it always amazes me when I go into my local corner shop how many people spend at least £5.00 (roughly $10.00 US) per week doing it, in the remote hope that it will change their lives forever. It seems to me that this money accumilated over time could be far better spent on something which is much more likely  to make them better off in the future, maybe a great marketing program for example!

However a mate of mine Martin from www.mecoit.com has decided to promote a program based around the Euro lottery. The concept is simple, if you can get five people to join the program under you, you effectively get five lines of the lottery for free, at least that’s my understanding.

Apparently the system gives you equivalent to 88 lottery entries per week which cost a fiver and you get someone else to pay for it!

For those people who spend at least a fiver on the lottery they could massively increase their odds and also get a slice of a much larger pie by using this system.

Anyone who’s interested in this concept can find out more by following this link  http://www.v-w-d.com/178392ME.

By the way that is not my affiliate link. I don’t get anything fromn this but I thought it would be handy for somebody!

10 Day Cash Secret - Sounds Good But…

March 6th, 2008

Anyone in the biz-opps scene can’t fail to have seen the new offering from Neil Shearing, the’10 Day Cash Secret’.

I have to say, with his latest roll out the stats look really impressive as he seems to have made a fair few thousand dollars within a very short space of time. Momentarily I was tempted to get it (and still may do) but then after a little more thought, for now, I’ve decided not to.

His new program involves developing auto-generated websites to produce affiliate sales.

Now it should be said that I still have a few auto-generated sites that were produced by ‘Traffic Equaliser’ a few years ago, and they still bring me in a little income, although nothing like they used to.

Although Neil’s system is slightly different in as far as his sites will regularly auto-update with content that is continuously being fed by other sites, if I’m honest I feel these type of sites are polluting the inernet (sorry Neil)! How often do you do a search only to come up with a junk site that doesn’t give you the info you are looking for, but instead gives you a load of adsense or affiliate links to other websites. I’d rather have got to those in the first place.

You can see why Google and the like are getting more critical with their algorithms to hopefully make your searches more relevant, and therefore better for the user, rather than the opportunist internet marketer.

I feel the long term internet marketer really should be thinking more along the lines of quality, authority sites with valuable content for long term success.

The point is I have started to take my internet marketing strategies a bit more seriously and any website that gives a ’shortcut’ to cash generation, I can’t help feeling it’s days are numbered.

Having said that if the ‘The 10 Day Cash Secret’ program stands the test of time and people start reporting great results with it, then as long as I’m not fleecing anyone else, I will forget my morals, happily ‘pimp’ myself and invest in it later!!!

If the lazy way is your thing then you can get Neil’s program at www.10daycashsecret.com.

Never Give Up - Although Sometimes A different Approach Would Help!

March 5th, 2008

Did you see this…it gives a whole new meaning to ‘never give up’!  Apparently the pilot turned round and lande safely at the SAME airfield!

Never giving up is one thing but sometimes when there is too much at stake, maybe we should try something different. Or to put it in context, why didn’t the pilot divert and land somewhere else?

The milliondollarmaybe H2O Report

March 4th, 2008

We all know there is so much crap out there on the internet regarding money making opportunities yet…and I can’t understand this…we still buy it!

Why? Is it because we’re lazy and just want the quick fix or are we deluded enough to really believe this stuff?

Well I’ve almost finished my H2O Report which is going to reveal what they DON’T tell you when they take your money. It is unbelievable that we behave so differently when we part with cash for money making schemes than with any other product.

The report explains all in detail so as soon as it’s finished it will be available to download FREE from www.milliondollarmaybe.com. In the mean time more info is available by clicking on the picture in the bar to the right.

Google Cash - Just Read It Again!

March 3rd, 2008

A few years ago I purchased the world famous ‘Google Cash’ program and although at the time I thought it was pretty good, I was never able to make any of the techniques work for me. I think this was because being a new marketer I didn’t take it seriously enough to follow the methods properly and was hoping for a quick ‘million dollars’ to fall into my account.

When it didn’t happen I soon got bored and didn’t bother try using it any more.

However I was going through my hard disk last night, and was amazed at the amount of PDF’s I’ve got filed away ready to be read ‘later!’  My intention was going to clear a load of it out when I came across the ‘updated’ Google Cash 3rd Edition (It was obviously sent to me as a previous purchaser and I must have just put it aside). I decided to have a quick look.

Well I was blown away because it is really good! Two hours later I was still reading it so needless to say I didn’t get far with the old harddisk!

However for anyone who’s into affiliate marketing this book is a ‘must have’ and as soon as I’ve got the time I intend to give the new updated version another try. What I like about the Google Cash 3rd Edition is it takes into account the Google ‘Slap’ and other situations that weren’t there a few years ago.

So what’s in it? Well basically Chris Carpenter the author takes you through real life examples of actual campaigns that he has used from setting up accounts to writing Google Ads, researching keywords, to landing pages (when and when not to use them the proper way)! He also demonstrates everything with videos so it’s real easy to follow.

For me it was understanding the Google Slap that really made the Google Cash stand out and the fact that it discounted a few of the myths that are out there regarding Google, for example, apparently it is still OK for Adwords ads to go direct to an affiliate URL.

As for the ’slap’ I shall now be checking my adwords campaigns a lot more closely in future!

Confessions of an internet marketing junky!

February 27th, 2008

For anyone who’s been trying to break into the internet marketing scene it won’t be long before you’ll be told that you should try to establish yourself in any niche as long as it’s not internet marketing! Funny that really, as it seems to me that this is the only niche where people are prepared to pay ridiculously inflated prices for poor value. That and weight loss I suppose!

The thing is, it’s all very well writing an eBook or creating a program about your hobbies or something that you are passionate about, but if you like collecting ancient sweet wrappers for example, your hardly going to make an online fortune (forgive me if that’s what floats your boat).

Therein lies a problem. Whatever field in which you choose to establish your online presence, to set up a website, create a list and market effectively takes a lot of time, effort and probably money! So the question is, do you do it as a hobby or as a business?

If there is no intention to make a million dollars then of course you can take time and build it slowly and you never know you might strike a home run without even trying. More than likely however, as most other markets don’t have ‘dreamers’ and ‘hopers’ for prospects the potential income is probably limited…

Unless it is run as a serious business.

But serious business needs serious investment, not only in money but particularly in time. That then opens up a whole new can of worms because to spend the time to succeed in business especially in the beginning takes motivation and dedication, especially when the customers are not desperate!

This is why I particularly love the internet marketing field. Yes there is an incredible amount of competition but as we are all looking for that elusive way to get rich without trying too hard, at least with this market our prospects…which includes you and me…are prepared to spend an awful lot of money in the hope that their purchases will fulfill that elusive goal!

The ‘Gurus’ all tell you to seek out other niche markets but you hardly ever see them actually promoting any other products apart from the IM stuff! Funny isn’t it. Do you think they know where the money really is?

As for me while I still haven’t made my million, I love trying and if I can help others with what I know already then I’ll  be a happy man.

Except this one!

February 21st, 2008

As a continuation to my post yesterday, there are of course exceptions to the rule! Actually it is not an exception in as far as the following is demonstrating something.

Email Promos exposed has been doing the rounds on the internet lately, and normally as soon as something is promoted on the ten million marketing emails that I receive every day, I get pretty p***ed off and hit the delete button asap!

However for some reason this was different. Maybe because I knew the name Michael Rasmussen…maybe because I was ready for something new…I don’t know except that I decided to sign up for the free videos.

And boy am I glad I did!

A series of eight free videos that give genuinely good info regarding that ‘dodgy’ area of email marketing!  These videos are great and anyone who has not had major success with their list should sit up and take note. Everything from subject lines that get your emails opened to email copy that gets read - it’s all in there.

If you want to see it in action, sign up for my free newsletter at www.milliondollarmaybe.com because I can’t wait to use these techniques!!

Alternatively if you want this free resource for yourself, you can get it here:-

Video - Well it must be the way forward but…

February 20th, 2008

If you’re into the internet marketing scene nowadays you’re probably receiving hundreds of emails per day - I know I certainly do.

However, have you noticed how many marketers are using video on their newsletters, blogs, websites, etc? But not only using video, but almost feature length epics! Now I’m sure I’m probably wrong because they all seem to have made their million dollars and I haven’t, but I’m not convinced that they are the only way forward.

After all how many of us have got the time to sit staring at our computer screens for hours just to get another sales pitch at the end of it? I personally think video is great for an introduction, or to demonstrate how a piece of software works and that kind of thing… but as one long sales process…?

Am I the only one who, unless the video is to demonstrate software, hits the delete button as soon as I realise that this is going to go on for a million hours!!!

Now I will be using video on my sites (when I get round to recording them) but they’ll be short and sweet because I know that you dear reader will not have  the time to listen to  an hour long spiel that could be said in a quarter of the time!

 Am I being negative?

Been meaning to do this for a while!

February 15th, 2008

I’ve been meaning to put a blog up on milliondollarmaybe for ages but you know how it is, distractions and daily life just seem to get in the way. Well here it is at last and at present I have great intentions of updating it and writing regularly - of course great intentions tend to fall by the wayside but the intention is there!

The thing is, I have so much to tell because yes, I’ve been conned, ripped off and wasted loads of cash on this scheme or that, and  I’ve still not made my million dollars online…oh well MAYBE this year!

However I make a bit so I’m not giving up. Remember you only fail if you give up.

If you can make a little online then you just have to do it over and over again right? Easier said than done but so far the only thing that has worked for me. A little bit of Adsense here, and a little bit of affiliate commission there. All I’ve got to do now is develop that product of my own that is going to make a fortune! It’s on it’s way!

In the mean time I shall report my progress here, so watch this space.
