Affiliate Marketing - The Proper Way…
As anyone who has seen milliondollarmaybe from the beginning, you will know that the only way I made any consistant money was from Google Adsense, and even that wasn’t a fortune. With the odd affiliate sale here and the occasional Clickbank cheque there, for an eBook that’s out in the ether somewhere I certainly couldn’t call myself a ‘Guru’ (nor would I want to even if I was one of course)!
However I constantly read about these super affiliates and have always believed there must be a way to crack it…but never have!!!
Oh yes on several occasions have I tried and on even fewer occasions has it worked for me. Either my Adwords ad bids are too low it seems or my keyword targeting is off somewhere, I don’t know. Whatever I tried I came to the conclusion it doesn’t work unless you go to a sh** loads of trouble to follow the procedures set out in products in the world famous Affilaite Project X (in fact I had never made a single affiliate sale until I read APX).
Don’t ever let them kid you it’s easy, ‘coz it certainly ain’t!
However I believe I’ve recently had my eyes opened to what affiliate marketing should be about and although it still requires a sh** load of work, I reckon it’s going to be enjoyable.
The problem is that most ‘newb’ affiliate marketers try to go for the ‘make money’ niche, which although is highly lucrative, if you’ve never actually done it, without proof of how fantastic you are, you’re never going to earn your fortune from it now are you?
But then I came across KirstyMcCubbins site www.affiliatestuff.co.uk a few days ago and to be honest I was hooked on the info that I got from her.
Herself and others seem to be making a sh** load of money from other niches where the punters aren’t even aware of things like affiliate commssions etc. Because of this they are much more likely to follow links and buy…because they don’t believe they are being SOLD to! Get it?
It’s just so obvious to me now why, although I have only been recommending what I consider to be decent products, I haven’t been making the sales. I think it’s because very often people THINK they are being SOLD to.
It should be said that I never recommend products if I don’t believe in them but I can see why many prospects might not necessarily believe that! So what do I do about it?
Try the markets where the prospects don’t know what’s going on! I’m not trying to be deceiptful here but I can see now that this is what serious affiliate marketers do.
For me it was a light bulb moment and I’ve decided to update some of my other sites and concentrate on being an affiliate for other niches. And guess what? I’m fired up about it, because I am starting to believe again!

and there he is… the cynical purveyor of a big load of CRAP that will only line his own pockets. On behalf of newbie affiliates and their bank accounts I would like to tell you that you may stick your road map and your Silver Bullet up your over padded behind.
“Super Affiliates Earn 6 figures or more with little or no effort” - WHAT? Who are they? Because I can tell you from experience it’s not easy, it’s bloody hard work… and cynics like you milking newbies of their cash and denting their hopes and dreams really, really piss me off.
Fully Automated? You liar! It’ll be a spammy old load of crap, thats what.
As a highly experienced affiliate I’ll give anyone better information that you are selling FREE. Just pop along to my blog and read it guys… and flip nonsense like success roadmaps the bird.

Kirsty, I hope you were referring to Emarketscout’s comment rather than my post because I agree with you. A typical comment with no substance only given for self serving purposes.
Your site has inspired me and I hope others will learn from you. As you say forget that roadmap BS and automated crap and get on with the hard work that will make it all worth it. That’s what I’ve decided to do and hopefully in a few weeks time I’ll have at least another site to show for it. So far I’m a week into it and many hours of work later I’m still nowhere near finished.
From experience I don’t believe now that there is an easy way.
